Christmas Day Test Drive

On Christmas Day my good friend Steve from high school days till now brought by his new BMW he just ordered. Needless to say we tested it out. Here are some photos of it. (It’s a 2008 BMW 535xi) My accessment- It’s gets you from point A to point B. OK, I’ll admit it, it’s a great ride!

Living the Good Life- Tip #4

Even though my favorite sport is hockey my favorite to play isn’t really a sport at all. Well most wouldn’t consider it a sport- but it’s called Pickup. Any guy out there that reads my blog on a regular basis can succeed with women. The first step is to be in the right state of mind. You have to want to succeed. The second is to live your life (even though hard at times) as if your better then any of your male competition. The third is to learn the great art of Pickup. A few great links to help you. Pickup Podcast- I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing these guys. Another great source is Joseph W. South- I will be interviewing him this week. If you have any questions for him send them my way.  The fourth is you have to get out there. Every opportunity you can go out with friends, go to the gym, go to concerts, even go to the grocery store. You will pass beautiful women constantly. Sitting at home every night watching reruns is NEVER an option.

I Love This Spot

 Though I am in no way promoting or affiliated in any way with Bacardi- I was watching a hockey game the other night and this ad came on. I fell in love with it. It defines who I want to be. City, style, and sophistication is what this is all about. I want to host this type of party.  I’m thinking Amore Mansion? For the holidays? Someday?

Love- Is It A Game of Survival of the Fittest?

In my January Editor’s Letter I will touch more upon this subject, but I wanted to open the conversation. I’ve come to believe lately that like in life, love is a game of survival- be in it to win at all times.  Like food and water, which we have to work to acquire and stay alive so is true in love. I’m Still Awake

Sorry to all my fans- Yes, all two of you. I haven’t posted in a few days. I do however have a great explanation. Here is what my schedule looked like this weekend.

Friday night- Portland- Drinks with friends at Foreplay for my Birthday
Saturday- Studio Camera- Portland studio- 3:45pm-11:45pm
Sunday- Audio- Auburn studio- 4:30am-9am
Sunday- Audio- Auburn studio- 3:45pm-11:45pm
Monday- Audio- Auburn studio- 4am-12:30pm
Monday afternoon/evening- A good sleep and a run at the gym.

To sum it all up television is not as glamorous as it seems. Unless you like working nights, EARLY mornings, weekends, and holidays TV is not for you.

Happy Birthday To Me!

Today is my Birthday. It’s snowing outside. My Birthday happens to fall only two and a half weeks before Christmas. A time when everyone else is thinking about holidays I am left with, “Hey, guys! It’s my Birthday! Oh wait, since it’s not in July you don’t have time to celebrate? Holiday party you have to attend instead. OK, maybe next year- wait it will fall two and a half weeks before Christmas next year. Dam it.” I would never trade the day I was born on for any other, but having a nice long sunny day in the middle of summer not in the same month as another gift giving holiday wouldn’t be so bad every now and then. Seriously…

My Annual Birthday Night Out

Hey All, 

Thursday is my Birthday! Every year for the past few I have had a pub-crawl. To celebrate a bunch of friends and myself will be meeting up at my favorite bar Foreplay at 10PM for a fun night of drinking. I hope to see you all there. Let me know if you’re going so we can look for you. We may move on to other places as the night progresses.  

I better see you all there. Besides would you really pass up a chance to share some drinks and a laugh with yours truly? OK, you got a point!  But seriously what else do you have going on that night? Exactly…

Living the Good Life- Tip #3

You have to start today working out 4-5 times a week. No excuses! I run 4 1/2 miles at least 4 times a week. Maine (where i call home) it gets really freaking cold this time of the year. I run on the thread-mill in the gym. My rule of thumb is if I can’t wear shorts and t-shirt then it’s too cold to run outside. The streets of the city are best during the warm months even more you get to enjoy the sun. This is a great stress release from all the pressures of work and life.

When it comes to food everything is OK in moderation. No fast food unless it’s Subway or the like. Diet soda always (Coke Zero, and Diet Dr. Pepper are my personal favorites). If the fast food joint is known for their burgers, pizza or donuts visit only twice a year (the exception to more visits to the donut joint is to purchase coffee ONLY).

Follow these few easy steps you will look and more importantly feel so much better. I guarantee it.
