Living the Good Life- Tip #2

November 30, 2007

My favorite show for generating positive thinking in a business mind is “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch,” on CNBC weeknights at 10PM & 1AM EST. If you have ever thought of starting your own business, or have an idea and need motivation to take that first step this is the show for you. It’s, “your roadmap to the American dream.”

Day After Thanksgiving

November 23, 2007

Happy Day After Thanksgiving! Today I am proud to say for another year I have avoided at all costs (no pun intended) being caught up in the biggest marketing scam by corporate America with shopping for needless junk to give to people that could care less about me or what I got them for that matter. I woke up late, skimmed the local paper stopping at Dilbert, and had a cup of coffee (something I enjoy doing every morning that I don’t have to work the morning newscasts). After, it was off to the gym for a 4 mile run. Now I’m sitting at work waiting to do audio for a taped version of the 6 o’clock news then its off to cover the MAINEiacs game before coming back to the Auburn studio to edit the highlights. Finally, I’ll run audio for the 11pm news.

Living the Good Life- Tip #1

November 17, 2007

Since my senior year of high school I’ve reinvented myself twice. The proof of the first reinvention is when you question any person who had the pleasure of sharing their high school days with me. All will answer, ‘Senior year Laurent came out of his shell.” All to often I find myself in conversations with people who doubt themselves for one reason or another. Pre first reinvention those were the shoes I was wearing. Though this blog from time to time I hope to offer advice to all of you who find yourself in a like situation. It starts with mindset. So today start thinking positive as if all goals you set as a child have all come to fruition. What happened yesterday you can’t change, so start anew for today, because you have influence on tomorrow. The odds are in your favor. Get yourself a new pair of shoes.

My Best Kept Secret…Finally Revealed.

November 15, 2007

Want to be a better suductionist much like myself. When I reinvented myself a year out of college the one book that became my bible was, ‘The Art of Seduction,’ by Robert Greene. A must read for anybody who wants to succeed socially in the business of life…and love.

Yes, it’s true I speak for all mankind when I say all men love a girl in a little black dress. So what better way to meet up and flirt then with a girl wearing a little black dress. My party is this weekend, and I hope to see you all there- girls don’t forget to wear your favorite little black dress. I know every girl has one.

Same Recipe- Different Taste

November 13, 2007

If you gave two people the same recipe along with the same ingredients and asked them to prepare the same dish- you would find the outcome of two completely inconsistant dishes. The same is true in love. Each person is the same, like the ingredients- the recipe doesn’t change, and yet the outcome of the relationship is different with each person you date. Strange how unique love can be… we all interpret each other with variance even though so many of us are so much alike.

Love is Everywhere

November 6, 2007

There is no better conversation to be had then one involving love. Talk about it with an acquaintance, co-worker, or even more a complete stranger. Not only will you find out some deep dirty secrets of that person, but you will learn so much about your own life- thus validating you.
